Heritage Elementary Staff Visit Construction Site
Exciting Update! Our #WaunakeeWAY staff from Heritage Elementary had a sneak peek at our brand new building site. It was a very special experience as many of our dedicated staff members got to explore and find their future grade-level neighborhoods.
We're thrilled about the progress and can't wait to share this amazing space with our students and community. Stay tuned for more updates!
Heritage Elementary School Groundbreaking Ceremony
A groundbreaking celebration occurred on Thursday, May 18, 2023, to celebrate the beginning of construction on the new 152,000 square foot (sf) state-of-the-art school building at 6271 Woodland Dr, Waunakee. Attendees included members of the Board of Education, local officials, community leaders, design and construction partners, as well as faculty, staff, and students from Heritage Elementary School.
Dan Carter, Principal at Heritage Elementary School says “We feel incredibly fortunate and thrilled about our new building for our school community. We are thankful for the support of our students, staff, families, and community. We couldn’t be more excited to see this project come to life.”

Summer School 2024
Waunakee Community School District offers many exciting, challenging and above all FUN classes to engage your child in summer learning. Courses are available for children from 4K thru 12th grade and included enrichment, remedial, music, strength and conditioning, and swim lessons.

Families are encouraged to apply for open enrollment in our school district from Monday, February 5, 2024, through Tuesday, April 30, 2024.
