Co-Curricular Payment Schedule

Step 1 Getting a Substitute Teaching License

The DPI charges fees for the issuance of teaching licenses and those costs are the responsibility of the applicants.  

If you have a bachelor's degree in education or have been through an educator preparation program, you are eligible for a Five Year Substitute License.

Follow this link if you went to a college outside of Wisconsin

If you have an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university you are eligible for a Three Year Short Term Substitute License, after you have completed an approved substitute training program.  STEDI.org is currently the least expensive option. (see the Three Year License link for more providers)  

WCSD will reimburse you up to $40 for your cost to participate in the training, within your first paycheck after working for us.

Step 3  Application Review 

The Director of Human Resources periodically reviews applicants, including phone or in-person interviews, to add applicants to the substitute pool.

Substitute candidates and applicants are encouraged to contact Amy Manzetti, Substitute Coordinator, at 608.849.2000 ext 8168 or by email with questions and/or follow up on the status of an application.  

• Frontline - Absence Management:  automated sub system that uses both the telephone and internet to assist subs in locating jobs for our school district.
• Skyward:  employee system used by all staff to view paychecks and payroll information.
• Payroll Forms:  if you have  changes to your payroll information, please send an email to askhr_helpdesk@waunakee.k12.wi.us and request new payroll forms be sent to you. For example, you are required to notify the Payroll department 10 days prior to the next payroll date if you close your Direct Deposit account or make changes to it.
